History of the castle

 

Modern times...

     The castle again briefly returned to its original military function when, during World War II, German troops were housed here, putting the area under the minace of artillerie pieces located on the flat roof between the crenels.

    

     The strategic commanding location of the place caused it to be successively occupied by Italian and German  soldiers, and, later, came American soldiers who gave it back its freedom.
